The NSW Police Force is the largest policing body in Australia – and it’s a force that is still growing so there are great career opportunities and job security. Choosing a career is one of the biggest decisions you can make. You will get a uni degree. Choosing to be a NSW Police Officer couldn’t be easier.

After three years of general duties policing you may also have the opportunity to specialise in various areas such as forensics, police rescue, criminal investigation, highway patrol, mounted police – just to name a few. There are over one hundred career paths to choose from so the possibilities are endless.

If you are interested in joining the NSW Police Force you will need to be at least 18 years of age to apply and have a full motor vehicle driver’s licence or a Provisional licence (Red ‘P’ NSW equivalent). You must also be an Australian Citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency.
